Harley Davidson Softail Classic, just bought one, wow, fantastic beast, took me and a mate to this years IOM TT races in comfort.( and Style)
Always fancied a fat boy but when I added up the cost of decent panniers and a clip on screen for the distance rides the heritage classic seemed better value, if you can use the term value when talking about harleys.
Test rode one of those cross bones the other day, wow mad looking thing but not for me, just didn't get on with it at all.

Live to Ride
Well if your anything like me, having grown up with motorbikes as a teenager then got all sensible, had kids and a mortgage, needing sensible family transport then you've been away from bikes for a while, unless you manged to get those elusive 6 numbers on a saturday night.
So finally mangaged to justify the purchase of a motorbike, didn't really know what i wanted, thought i'd go for a sports bike, but hey im not 21 anymore and don't think the old back would take it,
Its been 6 months now and i am already looking at a third bike, having sold the first one, a 52 plate fazor 1000, fantastic bike but didn't suit my type of riding, 2 up with the missus, replaced that with a Harley Davidon, what! no way i thought i'd ever own / think of buying one of these over priced plodders, but i'm afraid to say 1 test ride and i was hooked, no wonder Harley are doing these Judgement days, test rides for everyone, as many as you like, trust me there addictive,
So at the moment i am considering swopping again, looking at a heritage classic, real 50's through back, honestly if you've never riden one go and see, they handle better than you think and up to legal speeds pretty quick of the mark,
Watch this space, i'll let you know how my mid life crisis pans out, plus i'll update soon on my forthcoming Isle of man TT trip,
